With the release of several documentary films on the early years of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the U.S., many people are discovering or re-discovering the extraordinary activism of groups like ACT-UP and TAG. But the truth is, some of the most important and exciting HIV/AIDS advocacy is happening right now as we work to achieve an AIDS-free generation.
The Treatment Action Group is still leading the way in HIV/AIDS advocacy – bringing together activists, scientists, and policy-makers to develop sensible plans and strategies to significantly reduce the number of new HIV infections even in this day of limited budgets. EJAF has proudly supported TAG’s work since 2008, and we stand with them in this important effort.
